Another Friday…the weeks fly by don’t they? I hope you enjoy the great resources and videos I discovered and bookmarked this week. In no particular order, I have listed my favorite top 10 sites, blog posts, and videos of the week below.   1. 100+ Google Tricks That Will Save You Time in School – this great post found at Online Colleges will keep you busy exploring and learning Google nuances for hours!
  2. The Big Draw – this marvelous interactive site created by Access Art and the Campaign for Drawing encourages students age 8 and up to make storyboards and animate their drawings. The activity includes a number of worksheets that you can print to encourage students.
  3. Father Guido Sarducci’s Five Minute University – I truly appreciated the humor of this YouTube video, particularly after helping put three kids through college…
  • Incredible Human Machine – “NGC takes you on a journey through an ordinary, and extraordinary, day in the life of the most spectacular machine ever created: the human body.”
  • Teaching Style Survey – (Grasha-Riechmann) Take the Grasha-Riechmann teaching style survey to give yourself an idea regarding your teaching style…a good reflective tool.
  • How to Use an Apostrophe – a neat online poster to help students with grammar
  • Thwoop – “At Thwoop!, you can view episodes of some of your favorite animated and television programs, get a glimpse at products new and old, and even review both so as to share your thoughts with your neighborhood of fellow Thwoop! Here is a sample educational video from the site…
  • 50 Tools that can Improve your Writing Skills – a large list of tips aimed at improving your writing skills.
  • Happy Birthday Sesame Street! – this past week Sesame Street celebrated 40 years of bringing joy and learning to young children. View Season 40 Highlights when you visit this site.
